F-U-N.

This was taken in our toilet for guests. We were all so focused on smiling and everything that we forgot my little brother was part of the picture! We went to my house because we needed to start the script for our CAE Play. We watched Anastasia, toured my house, ate a great lunch and dessert, started the script, and had FUN! It was the best. HAHA ;)))

PEACE.

Beaches are the best! They're like the perfect paradise gateway. Like when we went to Bohol one summer. We stayed in this amazing resort, Panglao Beach Resort situated in Panglao Island. It was so cool because they had these small little houses for rooms. In this picture we were looking for starfishes and tiny sea creatures that were stuck because of the low tide. This was taken during sunset. The sunset was breathtaking. I took a picture of it but I can't find it anymore. Anyway, Beaches are my paradise whenever I need to be calm and serene.

To the Sky!

This is the Singapore Flyer. It looks like a giant Ferris wheel because it is a giant Ferris wheel. But the Singaporeans insist to really call it an observation wheel. I've had the pleasure of riding in it with my family last summer.

For more information on the Singapore Flyer:

The Singapore Flyer is currently the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. Described by its operators as an observation wheel, it reaches 42 stories high, with a total height of 165 m (541 ft), and is 5 m (16 ft) taller than the Star of Nanchang and 30 m (98 ft) taller than the London Eye.

Located in Singapore, on the southeast tip of the Marina centre reclaimed land, it comprises a 150 m (492 ft) diameter wheel, built over a three-story terminal building which houses shops, bars and restaurants, and offers broad views of the city centre and beyond to about 45 km (28 mi), including the Indonesian islands of Batam and Bintan, as well as Johor, Malaysia.

Each of the 28 air-conditioned capsules is capable of holding 28 passengers, and a complete rotation of the wheel takes approximately 37 minutes. Initially rotating in a counter-clockwise direction when viewed from Marina Centre, its direction was changed on 4 August 2008 under the advice of Feng shui masters.

The Untouchable.

This, my friends, is Princess Chicken. If you're wondering why I am posting this picture of a chicken in my blog, it's becaus this is no ordinary chicken. This chicken is my brother's pet. Almost all chickens are raised for food, but not Princess. All Princess is going to do is eat, and eat, and eat! What will happen to her is that she'll just get fat and die. She is very well protected by my brother. No one can harm her. So we treat her like a pet dog. Only that she's not a dog, she's a CHICKEN. I hope it makes sense :D

Ta-da!

This is the outcome of all our hard work. Isn't she a beauty? CARROT CAKE. One of my faves! Yum... I think I'm drooling :) Now guys, if you ever wonder what I do when I get bored here's your answer: I either help my sister, my cousin, and my brother bake a cake or I help them eat it :) So it turned out to be a normal boring day... not! Thanks to the carrot cake. Bon appetit!

What do we do when we're bored?

I'm bored. I told my sister and my cousin. Well, what do you want to do? Hmmm... I don't know. I'm craving for something sweet. Let's bake a cake!

The result of this very wonderful idea is the picture above. Everybody got the ingredients and started doing their tasks. The kitchen looked like a hurricane passed by after finishing everything. What kind of cake do you think are we making? I'll post it on the next blog for the suspense. HAHA.

HELLO

I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ...

I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again how much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello, I've just got to let you know

'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying, I love you ...

Hello, is it me you're looking for?
'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying ... I love you

CHOCOHOLIC.

I have officially been to heaven.

This is Hershey's Chocolate World near Singapore Universal Studios. When I first saw it, I felt euphoric. I was almost drooling when I went inside. There were CHOCOLATES everywhere! Chocolate scented candles, chocolate bars, chocolate bunnies, chocolate shaped necklaces, chocolate earpieces! It was CHOCOLATE HEAVEN.

What, what, WHAT?!.... Oh :|

I was just heading up there stairs because I just got home. I was still thinking of what to eat... sooo many choices! As I looked in the dining room I saw that the table was fixed. We were having guests for dinner? Hmm... didn't know that. Wait! Meaning there will be more food! Yipee.

Suddenly there was shouting, our helpers telling us to cover our eyes. What was happening? They just told us to close our eyes because it was a surprise. So the three of us just covered our eyes and went with them. I was so excited, what was the big surprise? Since we were covering our eyes somebody had to assist us. They led us to our house. Hm.. what surprise had to do with our house? Could it be that we have new air-cons like my dad's, or new TV's? Nah, that's never going to happen, just frail hope :D

We were enetering my house.. sooo excited! Ta-da! I looked around, and the grin on my face fell. Um, where's the surprise? Then I noticed it. I had new curtains! It was so pretty. It was a kind of peach and old rose color. My appreciation slowly surfaced. It was simple at the same time stunning. It brought out the beauty of my green-walled house :D

Now where were we? Oh yeah, thinking of what to have for dinner. Well, there's the marble potato with cheese, penne with red sauce, chicken, and salad. I think I'll go for the salad and there's some chicken curry that mom made for the guests. Oh for dessert too...

LOL Moment :D

Monday
P.E
First Meeting: Softball Practice

We were all excited because it would be our first time to play softball during P.E. So all of us took turns in hitting and pitching the ball. We learned that softball is a little like soccer kickball, it's just that instead of kicking it with your foot you use a bat. After practicing and getting the hang of it, we all prepared for the game.Since I was the catcher I would be the first in line to hit the ball. I was scared, excited, and happy, all at the same time.

1st strike, 2nd, 3rd... I ran. After having 3 strikes you were supposed to run to the 1st base, instead I ran to the 3rd base 0_o. Embarrassing... I know :|

What made it worse was that I was still carrying the bat when I ran to 3rd base. I guess that taught me not to panic too much when you're playing a game. :D

I meant to do that...

In the Afternoon
CLE
Entering the Projection Room

I was singing 'Every Rose has its thorn' and 'Dynamite', my LSS songs for the day, on my way to the Projection Room for our CLE Class. Since I was so engrossed on what I was singing, the sleeve of my blouse caught the door handle. So I was pulled back, and Sir Secular gave me a weird look while Jica just started laughing.

"Ehm. Ahem. I seriously meant to do that." :/

This blog was inspired by my latest embarrassing moment. We all have our own moments, right? :D

P.S I had Alice Kanaan to thank for my LSS songs for the day. Credits to you!

Home sweet home

Arriving at home after one of my late ballet practices in the city
6-7 p.m

Ugh. Soooo tired, still have school tomorrow. I mean it's already 6 or 7 in the evening and I just arrived at home. This would all be easier for me if I just stayed over in my lola's house in the city.

This is what everyone thinks about. They always wonder that if I stayed in Iloilo one of the hardship in my life would lessen. Actually, only people who haven't seen my house in Guimaras think these kinds of thoughts. I love my house here. It's very open. You don't need aircon to cool you off. We have our own version, we have centralized aircon in our house. Meaning it's always windy here. Sometimes you don't need that electric fan at night, just open the windows.

The reason why our house is so nature friendly is that we chose not to cut the trees where our house should have been. That's why our house is like small huts or houses. Privacy is a luxury here. I have my own little house. It's also peaceful. Not like in the city where there's always a feeling of restlessness that I feel. Also if I don't go back to Guimaras I'd miss my family. My mom, my dad, and my brother and sister. Anyway, I'm already used to riding the pumpboat everyday to reach Iloilo. I like my life just the way it is. :))))

'Home is where the heart is'
- This quote always comes to my mind whenever I meet new people who question me about how I live and manage my life, and to me this quote explains everything about their question.

'There's nothing half so pleasant as coming home again'
Margaret Elizabeth Sanqster
- I can't help but to post this quote too, it speaks volumes. It explains a lot too.

Curiosity killed the cat???

One of my traits that is sometimes a hindrance to me, is my curiosity. I have a very curious mind. It often gets me into trouble, but not always. Sometimes it explains to me some stuff that I never did understand. So my curiosity can be also considered as helpful.

There was this one time when I touched something because I was too curious, and then it broke. I panicked and just hid it where nobody would find it. See what I mean? This has happened to me a lot of times because I've had plenty of experiences just like this. I try to control it, but sometimes it just gets the best of me. I really treasure my curiosity but sometimes it's just a nuisance. A treasure but also a burden.

Law of Attraction or just simply Happy Thoughts

They say if you attract negative energy it goes back to you. The same with positive energy. So I try very hard to think about positive things, happy thoughts (Peter Pan!!!). If you think positive thoughts you attract positive energy. I also know this because of a book entitled Book of Secrets, they also have Book of Secrets for Teens. It's especially made for teenagers like me. It talks about the Law of Attraction. Which is what I was talking about in my first few sentences.

Last year my section won in the Best Play and in almost every category there is in the English Play. During the Playfest what we were all thinking about was that everything will all go smoothly and that we can do it. We attracted positive energy. We believe that was part of why we one. We were all so optimistic that we'd win.

I tried experimenting that theory almost on everything, and it does work with almost anything. If you cloud your mind with negative energy, how could you concentrate with the negative energy eating and pulling you down? Next time, always think positive.

'Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!'
Peter Pan

How it all started...

It was Christmas ( I actually forgot what year specifically but it was the year when Twilight became popular) , and we were already under the Christmas tree about to open our presents. I was very excited. I tried to shake it, guessing what may be inside. When we already opened our gifts, I was disappointed. The huge box that I thought were going to be cool, were actually four lame books. I tried to be never disappointed or sad during Christmas, so I put up a happy face for everyone to see. I smiled and thanked my mom for the gift, not really meaning it.

Our Christmas party was about to begin, so I got bored. I checked my Christmas present and realized that they were not just books but that it was the whole Twilight Saga. I remembered stuff about it. It was really becoming very popular, and that everybody had great reviews about it. I started to think: 'What the heck, it never hurts to try'. So I started reading it.

By the time the Christmas party was about to end, I was so engrossed with the book that I never noticed that it was about to end. It was like I had my own little universe. I was happy that the whole saga was already within my reach. It was then that I started appreciating books. I started to research on more vampire related books, then my tastes got a little varied. I would read almost anything that had an interesting story. I was almost like a bookworm. Right now, I'm just not sure if I'm like a bookworm or already a bookworm. :)))

Just do it!

St. Paul's Hospital
Going to have a blood platelet

I was sitting in an air conditioned room, trying to calm my breathing. I had a feeling that I would soon be next. I started to shake. I never really liked having blood platelet, especially if it's in the crease of your elbow. A child about 3-5 years old went before me. I was glad yet a bit sad. I started to cover my ears and close my eyes. Expecting to hear the child's cries and to see tears on his face. But lo and behold, after a few seconds, I never did hear any cries or shouts. When the child was done, I just looked at him. He looked bored, as if a needle hadn't just pierced his skin taking his blood. I felt ashamed. If a mere 3-5 year old child can do it then so can I. I took courage from that thought, I calmed a little.

When it was my turn, I started to shake and my heart's beating sounded like a hummingbird's wings. I reminded myself about the child. I eased up a little. My sister offered to hold my hand (the one that wasn't about to be injured), mocking me when I thought she was serious. Anyway, I took it and she really did comfort me (she was sooo sweet that time, I was touched). I suddenly felt a prick in the crease of my elbow and I looked away from it. It didn't really hurt much.

Before I knew it it was over, done, finished. I exhaled, relieved. Finally! I did it. I had faced my fears, and it felt good. I did great, but when I went back to my seat I started to shake again. I was still afraid if i had to do that again in the future. I guess some things never do change, it has been like this since I was little.

Stuck in the Past

As I go on from day to day in my Sophomore Year, my memories from last year always shows up. It now haunts me that those things will never happen again. That there's no way that we'll be together again in the same section. It not only affects me, but my other classmates as well. We just had such a great time last year that we almost can't bear to let go of those memories. I hope this kind of stage passes, it's causing not-sooo-great situations for us. We went through great hardships that we've created a bond, which up until now is still very much visible. Even if we're
from different sections we seek our old classmates. I still don't think if others can ever let go, including me. All of us wants to be classmates again, but we all know that that will never happen.

These never occurred to me during summer break, which made it more harder for me. If I could have gotten more time maybe I would be prepared right now... just, maybe. It's just all so sad that after everything we've been through we won't spend our classes together anymore. But I think this is for the best. We just can't linger on our past memories. We should move forward, explore more; I believe that there are still a lot more of memories, experiences and friends that we might come to encounter and cherish someday.

Tour Guiding 101

Usherette
-noun
a woman who escorts persons to seats in a theater, church, etc.

In my case it was to escort a whole class of students around the school. It was a lot like tour guiding. We estimated about 700 hundred visitors (it's a lot, I know). For just our group we were supposed to handle about a hundred or two only, but I guess our calculations were a little incorrect. For just our group a school in Baluarte had 200 representatives (whoa). I mean we're just only 6 learners per group and here you give us more than what we expected. We tried really hard to manage it. Jica and Jesselle handled the two hundred Baluarte students, the two Jill's took care of the Westbridge boys, Kylie handled just a small group of learners and I handled the representatives of the Immaculate Conception- Oton School.

I was very proud of my work, considering that I was alone and I had to manage 30-40 students. I mean, I never really knew I could do it but if you just go with the flow and relax you would maybe succeed. Anyway, that was just in the morning; we still had some more visitors in the afternoon. Imagine how tired we were. We were touring, entertaining and managing them at the same time.

The afternoon batch was a slow one, only a small group of students and some of our batch mates from another school. Whew, glad that was over; but it doesn't stop there. We still have tomorrow! The last day of our Open House. Ha, don't worry. This'll be easy. A piece of cake ;)))

"Waka Waka!"

July 12, 2010
World Cup Finals, 2:30 am(Philippine Time), South Africa
Netherlands vs. Spain

It was 5:00 in the morning when I heard my dad shouting. Shouting?! It was 5:00 AM in the frickin' morning! As I slowly became more aware of things I suddenly remembered just as my dad was shouting "GO SPAIN!". It was 2 hrs. and 30 min. right after the soccer game. I quickly rushed to my parents house and turned to the television. Only 30 sec. left on the clock and Spain was winning. The Team players of Sapin were already crying tears of joy and rolling on the ground. The Royals of Sapin were also rejoicing on the bleachers. I realized that this was their first time ever in winning 1st place in the World Cup.

I wanted to get angry at my dad for not waking me up to watch the game; but seeing that you can't do anything about it anymore and that I didn't really tell him directly to, I let it go. Instead,I watched the rest of the game and was amazed at the results. Netherlands with 0 and 1 for Spain (0-1)! I mean they played for 2 hrs. and 30 min. Wow. That will always amaze me :)

As the program progressed the song "Waka Waka" blared through the speakers. I immediately stood up and danced to the beat, knowing that my dad was also singing to the song. I believe my dad enjoyed the game, so did I even though I just watched for 30 sec. left. Hehe :D

It just made me happy to witness a really big World event. Well, it only happens every 4 years. Next time it would be the World Cup 2014. I'll be counting the days. :))))

Coincidence or Meant to be?

Serendipity
-noun
1. good fortune; luck.

I googled June 30, 2010 and 2 web results stood out. The world premiere of 'The Twilight Saga's Eclipse' and the Proclamation 2085 that states that June 30 is to be a special holiday in the Philippines.

Now, in the classroom, some said Eclipse's premiere would be on July 2, so I was thinking something like: 'they said the world premiere was on the 30th now they moved it?!'. I was very confused with the date! But, with a little help from my fellow bookworm (specifically Cha, thanks so much) she watched E news and they reported that it would really be on the 30th. And now today I was told that June 30 is a special holiday. Now isn't that just super! HAHA.

Now I have no problem scheduling when to watch the movie, although the reason that June 30 was made a holiday was so that we could be "one" in the outgoing and incoming Administration; my mind is wondering on how to get tickets for the movie :). I know, how unnationalistic of me but can you blame me? I mean Ashley Greene herself said that this is the most 'must watch' movie in 'The Twilight Saga' installment. A lot of surprises are really in store.

Is it really just a coincidence or just meant to be? I really hope it's the latter :)))
